Australian Satellite Services is able to supply tracking
systems that enable fleet operators to remotely monitor
and analyse the performance of their fleet no matter
how remote the location. Fleet operators can obtain
real time or historical trip information, which allows
accurate analysis of efficiency, delivery times or
simply finding out exact, up to the moment location
of the asset for security reasons or in case of an
emergency.
Australian Satellite Services provides products that
use state-of-the-art technologies to allow clients
to track, manage and control remote assets, both fixed
and mobile, and to monitor and control conditions,
all in real time if required.
With products and services that we offer it is possible
to monitor the moisture level in a field several thousand
kilometres away and remotely adjusting the irrigation
accordingly or monitoring and controlling the temperature
in a refrigerated container travelling through the
Nullarbor or turning water pipelines on and off. The
system will even alert you to unauthorised use or
intrusion of any remote asset.
These systems can also integrate with a diverse range
of communications medium options, such as Trunking
Radio, GSM, CDMA, Satellite, and Conventional Radio
networks. With this level of flexibility, vehicles
and assets may be remotely monitored regardless of
geographic location and operational boundaries.
This flexible and very reliable state-of-the-art system
saves both time and money by significantly reducing
maintenance costs in manpower, equipment and downtime.
It also provides added security to both assets and
people travelling through the remote parts of Australia.
SCADA ANYWHERE!
With a TSAT Satellite Communication
solution
The TSAT 2150 Satellite Communications
Network offers Innovative cost-effective solutions
for remote control, monitorin and data collection
within SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition)
networks. TSAT’s low cost HUB makes networks
of all sizes affordable, even for smaller utilities
and operators.
...............
The TSAT 2150 is ideal for scalable systems, which
may start with a small network and expand to a larger
one as the SCADA network grows. Due to TSAT’s
narrow band-width and low power output, the cost of
the space segment is reduced dramatically. The low
satellite transponder capacity and the low cost HUB
make the TSAT 2150 unique in the VSAT market.
The ultra-small bi-directional satellite communication
system TSAT 2150 is designed specifically for low
data rate communications in the Ku-band.
The TSAT 2150 system is flexible and can be configures
in a number of different ways to meet the customer’s
requirements. For example, if the remote terminal
drops off or if there is a fault with the RTU or PLC
this can be detected.
The remote terminal has two RS-232 ports and an optional
IP interface, therefore capable of supporting both
serial and IP traffic simultaneously over the satellite
system.
Fields of Application:
Operating at data rates between 2,400- 9,600 bps
and featuring flexible interfaces and protocol options,
the TSAT 2150 offers a highly reliable and cost effective
solution to collection and distribution of data in
SCADA applications such as:
- Electric Power
Automated meter reading, substation automation,
automatic switching operations, earth fault detection,
transformer monitoring etc.
- Oil & Gas
Pump and valve control, flow measurements, pressure
and temperature monitoring, leak detection, corrosion
monitoring etc.
- Water
River, dam and reservoir level control, water flow,
flood warning/alarm systems, coastal monitoring
etc.
- Environment
Rainfall, wind, temperature, atmospheric pressure,
pollution/gas detection, earthquake etc.
